Christmas Camp Information and Ski Racing Waiver
Hi Racing Families,
Winter is upon us so an update on a few items to get ready for the race season… Christmas Camp, Registration… and Sign the Waiver:
Our Christmas camp is scheduled for December 27 through 29th at the Batawa Ski Hill, and is open to all registered racers (development team, NG, K1, K2 and J). Please let Bernie Loeffler (bel.loeffler@sympatico.ca) know if you can attend (please indicate all days or just the ones you can attend). Camp runs all day, from 9:30-11:30am and 12:30pm-2:30pm each day.
All racers and families (except development team) need to sign the Alpine Ontario Waiver. Please do so as soon as possible, as we cannot form the teams until all racers have signed. Click here to go to the Alpine Ontario Member Login/Registration page. Click here for waiver instructions.
If you haven’t registered and plan to for the 2011-2012 season, please contact Julie Tolmie at 613-398-7598 as soon as possible. We need to know who intends to race in order to set teams. Failure to do so will make you ineligible to race this year.

Ski Swap 2011 – Information and Call For Volunteers
Ski Swap is approaching, November 4 – 6th. Feel free to invite family and friends.
We are looking for all racing families to help at the swap again this year. This is a huge fundraiser for the club and only by having many helping hands is this possible. Please let John Rae (raejohnd@gmail.com) know when you can volunteer, and if you have a preference on a specific job.
This is a great opportunity to volunteer and there are things the racers can do too. High school racers can earn volunteer hours. Elementary school racers can do it just because it’s fun. No experience necessary, we can train anybody.

Friday Evening:
- Set-up and unload the Vendor’s Truck
- Check-in Desk – older racers and parents can check-in, the younger racers can take checked-in equipment on the racks.
Saturday & Sunday (Morning Shift, Afternoon Shift):
- Equipment Sales (upstairs boots, downstairs skis) – K2 racers and up
- Security, greeters and crowd control
- Check-out Desk (equipment check-off and cashiers)
Sunday 4pm – tear-down

Dryland Training Information 2011
Exclusive Dryland Training for Batawa Ski Racing Club Members. Our club is utilizing the Quinte West YMCA again this year for dryland training.
Improve your cardiovascular ability and muscular strength and endurance as you prepare for the season ahead. Through sports specific training, you can get a jump on winter and be ready for the slopes in a way you never have before!
6:30pm on Friday evenings now until the hill opens
Open to BSRC members ages 9+
YMCA and Batawa Ski Hill Members $45.00 + hst

Early Bird Batawa Ski Hill Membership Rates for Race Club Members

It’s that time of year again! We have included race club members (coaches, racers, managers) with our early bird member sale this season. On the website there will be a race club specific form. Rates will continue to increase each month after July, regular price is $485.00 +tx. General public sale does not start until July 18th.
July 4 – July 15 – Race Club Members Season Pass – $305.55 +tx
July 18 – July 29 – Race Club Members Season Pass – $315.25 +tx
Passes are only sold Monday through Friday, 9:00am – 4:30pm. They can be purchased in the lodge by cash, credit, cheque, debit or over the phone by credit card (registration forms must be filled out and sent in beforehand by fax or email).
The forms are available on the Batawa Ski Hill website at http://batawaskihill.com/rates/seasonspass/
Race club registration requires that racers have a season’s pass, and the race club rate is available to family members of racers. This is the best rate of the year so I suggest you take advantage of it.
The “BSRC rate” and “BSH Member’s Rate” are now the same, so we no longer have to distinguish between hill members and non-members.
